Company refused to close my account without charging an extra month. Their policy is to squeeze an extra payment out of you.

Their customer service department is a joke. They just keep repeating, that's our policy. As if their "policy" dictates the way the world works. Good thing their policy isn't charging 6 months you don't want. Apparently it is not possible to reach a supervisor that is actually empowered to serve the customer. Maybe they should change the name of their department to Policy Repetition Department.
I wonder what they do if you die. Charge your estate, I guess.
